SYNCCYCLING NEW STUDENT GUIDE

New to SYNCCYCLING? Take a few minutes to prepare for a class with us!

We understand it can be daunting, yet exciting to come into a new space and try something you have never done before.  First off we couldn’t be more excited to have you join us for a class!  We want to make sure that your first visit with us is fun, safe, and exhilarating.  The following information will serve as a guide to help you prepare for your first class and hopefully answer any questions you might have prior to class.

What is it?

SYNCCYCLING is a unique style of indoor cycling that includes synchronized movement while standing up on the bike coordinated to the beat of the music.  The goal of a SYNCCYCLING class is for everyone to be moving in synchrony both legs and upper body.  A SYNCCYCLING class is not trying to simulate road biking or mountain biking, rather it is completely driven by the beat of the music chosen by the instructor. The instructor will call out the beat, tension and the leg lead to follow then cue upper body movement according to leg lead and beat of music.  Students are to follow leg lead and upper body and adjust tension according to pace.

What class to start with?

If this will be your first, one of your first OR the first in quite some time please consider the following class options:

SYNCCYCLING 101 Workshop

Walk in a novice, walk out ready to take on ANY SYNCCYCLING class. In this 2hr workshop we will cover bike set up, mechanics, form, movement and survival tips.  Think you can’t make it through a cardio class? Think again, we will have you moving in no time!

SYNCCYCLING The Basics

This class is going to be a slower paced SYNCCYCLING Class that takes time at the beginning of each class to set your bike up, explain movements, form, and how the bike works in detail.  Riders are encouraged to take recoveries whenever needed in this class; however, PLEASE come prepared to exercise!  Its BASICS, but its not meant to be EASY!

SYNCCYCLING Beginner – Intermediate

The Beginner – Intermediate class is designed to be a stepping stone into an All Levels SYNCCYCLING class.  We will explore all of the movements learned in The Basics at a slightly faster pace as well as work on endurance and speed work. Riders will be encouraged to take breaks whenever needed and varying intensity levels will be offered throughout class.
